What's so bad about rodents?

They are major carriers of disease such as Hantavirus and rat bite fever. Their nesting habits do thousands of dollars of damage to insulation, electrical wiring, HVAC units and sometimes even the structural framework of the house. Through mass multiplication they will encroach upon all areas of the house, chewing through containers and nesting in the bottom of furniture, until they take over like the movie Willard! There are no man made structures that can benefit from a rodent's presence.

What if they are just in the attic or crawl space?

No! Remember, all of your utility lines (water, plumbing, gas, heat, etc.) have to come through holes cut through the framework of the house. Holes are often cut too large. Once a rodent has gotten into the framework of your house, the clock is ticking.

Are rodent spread viruses really dangerous?

Yes. Black Plague, trichinosis, typhus, yellow fever and Hantavirus are just a few examples of rodents spread disease.

Do I need a pest control company?

No, because when you're done reading you'll know as much as any Pest Control Operator. You won't need anybody! However, there are some aspects you may not want to handle. Emptying traps and changing rodent contaminated insulation can make for a long day.

What about Sonic Repellents?
